About Us

Community Digital Centre (CDC)

Building Digital Bridges That Empower Communities

Community Digital Centre (CDC) is a cross-national nonprofit organization committed to advancing digital literacy, inclusive technology access, and educational empowerment. Founded with a vision to transform under-served communities in Uganda through digital skills training, CDC now serves as a global platform for digital education, consulting, and collaboration—bridging local innovation with global opportunity.

Mission Statement

To empower individuals and communities—locally and globally—through technology, education, and cross-border collaboration.
We deliver digital skills training, technology access, and educational consulting that foster social inclusion, economic opportunity, and leadership development.

By combining on-the-ground training in East Africa with global partnerships and professional presentations abroad, CDC aims to help learners, educators, and institutions connect, learn, and lead in the digital age.

Vision Statement

A connected world where every person—regardless of geography, gender, or background has the digital knowledge, tools, and networks to create meaningful change in their lives and communities.

We envision CDC as a hub for global digital inclusion and education innovation, where collaboration transcends borders and technology becomes a pathway to equity, opportunity, and empowerment.

 Our Focus Areas

  •  Digital Literacy & Skills Development – Hands-on ICT and computer training that equips learners for education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
  • Women & Youth Empowerment – Targeted programs supporting women, young adults, and return learners to participate fully in the digital economy.
  • Community Access & Inclusion – Providing shared access to computers, internet connectivity, and online learning tools in underserved areas.
  • Education Consulting & Presentations – Offering workshops, training, and speaking engagements for institutions seeking to build or enhance digital education programs.
  • Cross-National Collaboration – Partnering with educational institutions, NGOs, and community leaders to exchange best practices and co-create scalable solutions.

Our Impact

Since its founding CDC Has:

  • Reached hundreds of learners through community-based digital training programs.
  • Expanded to global advocacy and educational consulting, sharing evidence-based practices on technology integration, student success frameworks, and digital inclusion.
  • Strengthened the bridge between local empowerment and international collaboration, enabling the Centre to serve as both a community anchor and a global voice for equity in education.

Our Story

Community Digital Centre (CDC) was established in the United States as a nonprofit initiative designed to advance digital inclusion and educational empowerment across communities and borders. Built on years of cross-national experience in education, technology, and workforce development, CDC emerged from the belief that meaningful change happens when global expertise meets local action. The Centre launched its first international outreach program in Mukono, Uganda, providing youth, women, and adult learners with practical digital skills, employability training, and entrepreneurship support.  The initiative is poised to become a model for expanding digital access and capacity-building in other regions.
